c.1968 Tonka No. 2230 Jeepster Pick Up In Original Box
Awesome pressed steel No.2230 Tonka Jeepster never removed from original box. Purchased from an upstate New York collection (who was also the original owner). Mint green with yellow plastic headlights, and heavy tread polyethylene plastic whitewall tires with metal centers. Black plastic was also used to produce the pick-up bed, interior with dashboard, and roof. The steering wheel is the scarce black rubber original. Original box illustrated with the Jeepster on two panels in the correctly corresponding mint green color. Tonka name, catalog number, toy name, etc, printed on every box panel. Also the Good Housekeeping seal plus the old Bethlehem steel triple diamond logo. Box still has its original $2.48 "Clark's" price sticker in one corner. Size: 13" Date Sold: Jun. 2009
